Toronto is known for its buzzworthy eventsโbut when an evening promises connection, community, and real impact? Thatโs a different kind of spotlight altogether.
On April 24, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., King Event Agency is hosting its inaugural fundraiser, SPOTLIGHT, at The Great Hallโand itโs not just about getting dressed up. Itโs about raising critical funds for Pink Pearl Canada, a national charity supporting young women across Canada who are navigating life with cancer.
Letโs be clear: this isnโt just another black-and-white gala. Itโs a give-back moment with intention and edge, where storytelling meets strategy and celebration meets solidarity.
A Night Rooted in Style and Substance
Natalie Preddie, the award-winning travel writer and TV host, will be your guide for the evening, joined by Adam Growe, known for bringing brains and banter to Cash Cab. Add in a high-energy, live request show from Great Canadian Dueling Pianos, and the stage is set for a night to remember.
Guests will sip on curated cocktails from Evelyn Chick Projects, indulge in gourmet canapรฉs by Quell, and bid on silent auction items youโll actually want to take home. Itโs giving elegant with a dose of edge.
And itโs all designed with diversity, equity, and sustainability in mindโbecause giving back should reflect the values we hold offstage too. ๐ก
Why Itโs Personal
For Natalie Preddie, hosting SPOTLIGHT is more than just stepping on stageโitโs a deeply personal commitment. Sheโs lending her voice to support Pink Pearl Canada, a not-for-profit organization providing emotional and social support to young women facing cancer. That mission became especially meaningful last year, when Natalieโs sister was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 34 years old.
Since then, her sisterโs journey has been one of strength, resilience, and ongoing treatmentโand Pink Pearl has been a steady source of comfort throughout.
Why It Matters
Pink Pearl Canada is quietly changing lives with programs that are anything but surface-level. With support packages delivered in hospitals, one-on-one counselling, wellness retreats, and scholarships, theyโve served over 5,000 women since inceptionโat no cost to the participants.
Itโs that kind of work that often happens behind the scenes, but makes the biggest difference. Whether itโs a young woman receiving a guided care kit after diagnosis or attending a Brave Beauty class to reclaim confidenceโthis organization is about care that sticks.
All proceeds from SPOTLIGHT go toward expanding that reach.
Get Involved
๐ Tickets are on sale now and going fast.
Donโt wait. Donโt overthink it. Just show up and give back.
The Bottom Line
SPOTLIGHT isnโt just an event. Itโs a call-in. A chance to step outside your bubble and step into a room thatโs building real support for women who need it most. And if you can have a drink, crack up laughing, and walk away knowing you helped fund life-changing care? Thatโs the kind of energy we want more of.
Make purpose look good. See you April 24. ๐ซ
