✅ Step One: Prepare Your Submission

Before you submit, make sure your work aligns with our focus on:

  • The Black Canadian content and creative business experiences
  • Cultural commentary rooted in Black perspectives
  • Profiles or interviews featuring Black creators or entrepreneurs
  • Reviews of Black-led events, shows, or projects
  • Personal essays or reflections from Black voices in Canada

We accept:

  • Written pieces (500–1200 words)
  • Opinion or thought pieces
  • Event or product reviews
  • Photo essays (with captions)
  • Audio or video links (for podcast excerpts or visual storytelling)

All work must be original and not published elsewhere unless approved.


📨 Step Two: Submit Your Work

Visit our official Submission Form to share your piece. Please include the following:

  • Full name (or how you’d like to be credited)
  • A short creator bio (50–100 words)
  • Your contact email
  • Your Instagram, TikTok, or website (optional but encouraged!)
  • Any relevant visuals or media (JPEGs, YouTube links, podcast clips, etc.)

We aim to review submissions within 2–3 weeks. If your piece is selected for feature, we’ll reach out to confirm publication details.

Once approved, your work may be published on our blog, shared across our social media channels, and featured in our Black Canadian Creators newsletter, reaching thousands of subscribers looking to discover and support new Black voices in Canada.

We’ll also tag and credit you fully—because creators deserve their shine ✨

We welcome submissions from:

  • Black Canadian content creators
  • Emerging and established writers
  • Podcasters, videocasters, vloggers and audio storytellers
  • Cultural critics and media reviewers
  • Photographers and visual storytellers
  • Black-led or co-led organizations / collectives
  • Black-led or co-led creative businesses
  • And, anyone with a inspiring, original, and relevant story to tell

You don’t need to be a pro. You just need to be real, thoughtful, and rooted in community.
