DESCRIPTION:📍 Toronto\, Ontario🗓 Saturday\, February 7\, 2026⏰ 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM🎟 Paid event🌿 In-person🏕 Hosted by: Black Canadian Hikers \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Event\n\n\n\nThe Black History Month Nature Walk is a guided winter walk through the Humber River Valley that blends oral storytelling\, history\, and shared reflection. \n\n\n\nParticipants will learn about the life of Daddy John Hall\, a Jamaican Mohawk man born free around 1783 near Amherstburg\, Ontario\, to an escaped-slave mother and an Ojibwe father. His life story spans survival through war\, slavery\, and captivity\, and his eventual settlement along the Humber River\, where he lived in deep relationship with the land. \n\n\n\nThe walk is led by hike leaders Shyrai and Tramar\, with guest storyteller Dr. Jacqueline L.
